El Gato Chocolate was created with the dream of bringing the heart of Peru to the world through the union of art and cacao. To bring this vision to life, the brand partnered with Miguel, a renowned Peruvian artist and designer from Tarapoto, whose illustrations now define the identity of the chocolate’s packaging. Each design reflects the microclimates of Peru’s Coast, Mountains, and Jungle, incorporating native plants, ingredients, and distinct moments of the day. For the flavored bars, Miguel added visual cues that hint at each ingredient, while playful, symbolic cats weave through every artwork. Through this blend of storytelling, culture, and craftsmanship, El Gato invites people everywhere to feel connected to Peru — its land, its farmers, and its vibrant artistic spirit.
